Chocoholics rejoice – your favourite treat no longer needs to incite feelings of guilt!  In fact, you can devour this delicious slab of chocolate with a smile on your face.  It’s the perfect after dinner treat too as cacao is loaded with magnesium which is vital for a good nights sleep.  The addition of sea salt and almonds make this even more decadent…

LUXE / HEALTH Salted Dark Chocolate with Almonds 

Ingredients:

1/2 cup raw almonds, chopped roughly
1/2 cup cacao powder
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1 tbsp. almond butter
1 tbsp. rice malt syrup
2 generous cracks of Himalayan sea salt
2 tbsp. coconut milk

Method:

  • In a small saucepan, over a low heat,  gently mix the cacao, coconut oil, almond butter, rice malt syrup and coconut milk until melted and well combined.
  • Take the pan off the heat, then add the salt and almonds.
  • Line a baking tray with baking paper then gently pour in your chocolate, using a spatula to spread evenly.
  • Pop the tray in the freezer for an hour or so to set, then chop roughly into shards.
  • Devour immediately!
